My grandpa was such a funny man. I miss my grandfather so much. Even though he left my Granma and took off somewhere he still always made contact with us. I loved him and adored him. He always spoiled his grandchildren. I wrote this little poem for him which was read out at his memorial.
To visit Granma and Grandpa us grandkids we would go,
To stay for the weekend, the time it would go slow.
Granpa, you mad us happy, by taking us to the lake,
Opening up the waterslide, for only your grandkids sake.
You always gave us money, to spend down at the shop,
Mum never found it funny, she wanted you to stop.
When mealtime it would come, the table would be set,
The salt and pepper shakders, you never would forget.
You always piled on the salt, on every meal you ate,
Sharon, Janet and Shane, thought that it was great.
We want to thankyou Grandpa, for loving us so dear,
We never had to worry, you bought us so much cheer.
But now that you have left us, "Goodbye" its time to say,
Grandpa Henderson, "I LOVE YOU" forever and a day.

Morning my dear Grandpa. Im still finding your loss so hard. Its just not the same without you here in our lives. Your great grandauther is growing up so fast. I know your watching over ua all from somewhere up above xxx Loving and missing you terribly :( xox

Grandpa, Its been 8 years today, yet if feels like only yesterday. I still miss you so much. Time may go by, but the pain of losing you will never go away. I know your watching over me from somewhere up above. I love you so much and always will xoxoxo your loving grandaughter Janet xxxx
